Landscaping in Florida usually does not include rock or rock features. That is for several reasons. One, our only resource of natural rock is Agistized Coral. Limestone, which is a common bedrock is used prodominantely because of low cost and availability.

Secondly, many landscapers do not know how to incorporate rock and rock features properly into the landscaping thus it looking unatural and out of place.

I design limestone rock and boulders into my landscapes but I have a love for other types of rocks and boulders that we can get from all across the US and I use them frequently.

This pictures on this page show combinations of rock such as Round River rock, Canyon boulders, Lava rock, Zebra boulders and many many others.

When you're considering a landscape project don't leave natural rocks out of the thought process. If used correctly they can bring and interesting and beautiful touch to your yard.
